Merseyside Police Recruits
The presentation given by Steve Duffy, Ian and Angela was fantastic. I think we all took something from it. It was a real eye opener and has helped me see a person and not just a drug user. Angela's graphic and harrowing story in particular was an eye opener to put it mildly and will stay in the memory for a long time. She was extremely brave and put her story across brilliantly despite all the interuptions from people walking in and out!! Overall a really interesting and thought-provoking presentation that we all learnt something from. Thankyou!

Big Thank You
To Steve Duffy and Julie (sorry I didn't get your surname.) You delivered a presentation (Choose Life) to the Step Closer 2 Work project in February 2010. I just wanted to say it is the most valuable training I have ever received. Steve's previous job experience as a Prison Warden and Julie's life experience as an ex-addict was a graphic insight to another world. Julie is an inspiration to others and I will definitely be using her story as an example to the people I work with of somebody who has turned her life around. Thank You Both so much for your time.

Greater Manchester Police Input 11/02
Thank you so much for the fantastic input that was both entertaining and informative. I especially want to say thanks to the volunteers who came. Sitting in front of a room of police officers as ex-addicts must not have been easy and they were open and honest which was really interesting. Many thanks Steve, it's a great project and i hope i can do half as much to help as you guys have done.

Greater Manchester Police
You gave a presentation to Greater Manchester Police Officers, the passion that you have for this project is fantastic and you were all ( especially the ex-addict volunteers) a credit to the “Choose Life Project”. Well done keep up the good work in spreading the word.

GMP Presentation
I would just like to thank the staff and volunteers who came to talk to us today at North Manchester Golf Club. The talks by all were extremely interesting and informative and I have been truly moved to want to do more to assist and help those who are unfortunate enough to be struck down by addiction

Greater Manchester Police input on 11/02/10
What a fantastic project you guys are running. I am a GMP officer and thought that the entire day was worthwhile. I thought the combination of visual presentation by Steve as well as the input from the ex-addict volunteers was brilliant. I wish all the ex-addicts and workers involved with the project all the very best and hope that you all continue the fantastic commitment and work that you are doing.

Project Manager
Thank You Staff and students at Knowsley Enterprise Academy would like to say a huge thanks to Carl, one of your volunteers, for visiting the Academy today and talking so openly about his life experiences and the consequences of drug misuse. Students and staff found his presentation to be very thought provoking, honest and interesting. One student actually commented that she had learnt more from Carl's experiences than traditional methods of teaching about drugs as it was more meaningful and realistic. Thanks Again

Merseyside Police Student Officers (10/09)
Today we met Ste (tutor), Eddie and John (volunteers). I thought the session as a whole was fantastic. But the input from both volunteers was an excellent insight into the way an addict lives their life day to day. I especially liked the role done by Eddie at the start of the session. This was un-expected and for a short while made me uncomfortable, but was a powerful way to engage us. Fantastic!!! At the end of the session we were put into smaller groups to have a more intimate talk with the volunteers. Talking to John, we were able to ask any questions an give our thoughts to him. This was again excellent. I wish Eddie and John all the luck in the world for their future plans.
